Mentors

In keeping with the Guild’s mission to promote the education and skill development of members, a mentorship chair(s) is appointed annually to guide and coordinate mentorship activities. Members who have a specific learning goal (for example, learn a new weave structure, or how to warp a loom front to back, or learn to spin cotton) can contact the mentorship chair(s) for a referral to a willing mentor or to a learning resource such as publications in the guild library, online tutorials, or classes or workshops. The mentorship chair(s) may also periodically organize local field trips to enhance member learning. These may include visits to studios of fiber artists, commercial fiber enterprises, yarn suppliers, or fiber processors.

If you are looking for a mentor, or would like to be a mentor, please contact the president at Mentorship .
