Membership

If you are new to weaving, an experienced weaver or just interested in weaving, the Skagit Valley weavers Guild would like to welcome you. Our Guild offers a great opportunity to spend time with a group of like-minded individuals. We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month from September through June. Our meetings include a short business meeting, "show-and-tell" and interesting programs to inspire, teach and encourage.

Dues are $25 per year.

Benefits of membership
  • With your membership, you will recieve our monthly newsletter.
  • Your membership includes the opportunity to early registration for workshops which are usually offered twice a year. These 2-3 day workshops are presented by national and international teachers. The fees for workshps are based on the number of participants. Worshops fill quickly with our members and may not be offered to outside participants.
  • Membership gives you access to our extensive library. We have a collection of over 200 books, manuscripts, DVD's and magazines, many of which are out of print. We also have equipment which is offered for loan to all members. New additions are added regularly.
  • Membership gives you the opportunity to participate in our study groups. Some of the recent studies have been garment design, Theo Moorman, rag weaving, lace weaving, kumihimo braiding, twill and krokbragd.
  • Membership allows you to join in our varied outreach programs. Our guild regularly participates in the Mout Vernon Highland Games and the Anacortes Arts Festival. Our members have taught adults and children in schools, homes and senior centers; they have demonstrated at festivals, fairs and for service clubs. Participation in these outrreach programs is not only fun, but very rewarding.

Skagit Valley Weavers' Guild welcomes you!
